having fun or so they say anyway :) I have been so busy in RL that I have hardly had time to enjoy my SL. I jump on every day for a bit to grab my free lindens LOL but that has been about it. Hopefully I will be able to budget my time a little better and be able to play once again. Treasure Quest new hunt began last night and I won't even be able to get to it until Sunday this week...late start for me for sure! For the first time since I have been in SL I wasn't able to finish the last one either and that made me sad :( Alas carry on and see you on the grid!

Harvey's New Place

After the Pirate Dance Harvey invited me back to his new Island to check it out. Here is a broad view of the back of the house. It was late so I didn't stay a long time...need my beauty rest you know! But I did click a few pics and watched the sun rise there with him and Galfar.

The sun is just cresting the horizon here - look at all the rich colors out over the water! See the hot tub there in the left corner too! Ohh what a treat until Harvey said it was the stew! LOL

Here I am looking off the back deck and watching the sun creep higher and the Marlin swimming in the water. What a gorgeous fish!

Here Galfar and I are watching the sun coming up from Harvey's back deck - this is an awesome place! I am glad to have friends with such wonderful homes and toys where I can come to visit and play! Harvey has some water toys I will be checking out soon and I might even creep back into the stew again! he he!

I changed the time of day here to get a picture of us all standing on the back deck, great furniture set and such wonderful area surrounded by water! Can't be much better than this!
Harvey got himself a great deal! Next time I think I will leave the Pirate garb at home and come in my beachwear, ready for a swim!

Yo Ho and a bottle of RUM!

you guessed it there was indeed a Pirate Dance at EC on Saturday night! I am glad I decided to stop in and see what was going on :) I love being a pirate and treasure hunting and the most bestest thing? Why the RUM of course! I had a bottle of rum that if you click on it would give you a glass full so I was sharing with everyone although not many took it so I kept draining the bottle myself...I was being warned no driving! Good thing I was only sailing a ship! ROFL!

After dancing a long time on the center floor area I grabbed a camp pad when it opened up - figured I would earn a few bucks while I danced with my rum!

There were tons of pirates there and a good time was had by all!
yes even the mouthy parot that was there LOL! We rolled him in bread crumbs and threw him on the fire spit! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Hot Air Balloon Ride!

I was off exploring with a friend and we found this marvelous Hot Air Balloon ride! It went across 4 sims and there was a whole lot to see! There were mountains and flowers and the most gorgeous eyes to stare into...oops LOL! Yes it was a cozy balloon ride but we had a blast seeing what the island was all about. It is amazing what people can turn a simple little prim into!

you can see the mountains behind us, I kept toying with the settings to see what it would look like at various times of day. For real the sun was going down and it was the most wonderful experience, floating through the air and watching the setting sun!

The end of the ride was a little rude it just sorta dumped you off and you "SpLaT" on the beach!
Lucky for us there was a nice soft rug ot land on and a few pose balls to try out too. So we settled in and watched the rest of the sun set :)

I will be going back here again - they showed a ride the orca's too and also some other things I still want to check out

Etopia

I found a new place in SL called Etopia. It is a wonderful area where being "green" is flaunted and encouraged. I haven't done a whole lot there yet but will definitely be exploring more. I did take a ride on the tour though to catch a feel for what was around. Let me tell you in one word...
BEAUTIFUL!

They also have a mad lib game on Saturdays -
I was too late yesterday but am hoping to check it out soon!

Galfar Visiting

My friend Galfar came over last weekend to visit and we sat by the fire and talked. It is a lovely place and quite relaxing . I need to get the chair script working so more people can come over and enjoy it also.

He also has a great heart and is super friendly! I am blessed to have met you Galfar!

My new house

Placing the house turned into a bit of a challenge as the land is not level and I haven't yet figured out how to manipulate it. It does fit onto the edge of my lot nicely though. I left a small area behind it and you can sort see through the house there is Pampas Grass all along the back of it. On the front corners I used some plants and grass to cover the part that doesn't meet the ground until I can figure that out LOL! It does look nice though and actually several people commented on it so hmmmm maybe I will just leave it there. You can also see where I added some furniture to the upper level in the house - it has quite a nice view!

here I have added some furniture downstairs also and took a pic looking long wise at the house. I left the land lines on so you can see I still have quite a nice front lawn area to work with. and some water although it is not deep enough for my fish they looked like flying fish up out of the water - so again have to learn that land thing :)

I have added a dock to the front and will try to get the fish out or perhaps my canoe or something but for now it is nice to sit on and stare up at the sky or out to the ocean.
I also added a place to lay out - yep that is me there working on my SL tan he he.

here I am taking a shot from the back corner of my lot where I places a fire pit and 2 lawn chairs to relax in and cook marshmallows! YUM! You can also see my lava fountain and some of the butterflies flying about. I will get another pic of that so you can see it better soon.

here is the fire pit area - see it also offers a nice view of the water inlet and some palms.

Kriti's Escape!

Well I did it - I took the plunge into Land Ownership in SL.

There was some things not working with my previous arrangement and I
looked around some, pretty much didn't find anything I really had to have so had decided
I was going to meander around and just wing it become a wanderer :)

Well in my wandering I came across some land that was for sale and I hemmed and hawed about it as it was on a side of a Sim with limited water and also went uphill the entire way - no place to make a sitting area or place to put my tube in the water to play. I decided ok I would try it cause there was a really good deal on the land and then the tier was extended for a bit. Kinda like a holiday sale I guess. So I messaged the guy and he goes ok but he just sold the plot I had looked at. I said ok never mind but, he was persistent and had me come look at one other. He wanted more for it I didn't want to pay more so we worked it out and this my friends is Kriti's Escape! Water on both sides. my own little piece of the pie so to say. I can put what I want up when I want to and tear it all down and start over if I like without having to worry what anyone else is wanting to do. Quite liberating. However, it caused some hurt between my friend and I and that was the bad thing about this. I do think we have it worked out now though and SL is moving on.

I will share more snaps of it as I built the house and added plants and all kinds of goodies :)

Three Doors Down Concert

I often use the search and then the today button to find things going on in SL. I happened upon this Three Doors Down concert the other night and so decided I would give it a go. I had a blast, until my computer decided I had enough and restarted itself LOL! I don't think it had anything to do with the concert but as it was my first I don't know so will have to give another concert a try someday. Anyway this was very cool and much like being at one in RL minus the sweaty people smashing up against you! LOL Above is the band on stage singing away if you make it larger you can see their names floating above them I believe.

here are some people dancing, my map showed way more green dots but I guess not everyone was rez'd when I was snapping this one. I love dancing away! I never did figure out if there was a dance ball there or not I was jut using my animations which reminds me I need to get some more dances as I had a pretty limited choice!

Here is the lead singer getting everyone to clap - I couldn't get my animation to work while I was dancing so had to stop then restart if I wanted to clap, I finally gave up on that and just danced :)

In this picture I think it is totally cool how this other girl and I were dancing separate but just at the click we kinda look like we are back to back with our hand touching twirling around. I have no clue who she is and since the hover names aren't on the pick no way of letting her know I captured this shot so maybe she will come across it here or maybe someone knows her and can tell her. Anyway it was fun and right after this is when my computer said ENOUGH!

Western Dance at Club Eternal

We had a Western Dance at Club Eternal not that long ago and it was fun to see everyone interpretation! There were people with guns, people dressed like the law, people just in jeans and cowboy boots as well as a few other things :) Above are Jacen & Kaylee - Jacen wore his hat well and Kaylee was looking fabulous in her dress and boots! Love the boots Kaylee!

andsim showed up on his painted horse LOL and pretty much stayed there for the night. They even had the horse dancing a bit I think. I stayed out of the way!

I did the whole western gear thing from the boots to the chaps, the belt buckle, the gun and the lasso. I topped the outfit off with a fine white hat and danced the night away.

There were so many who did not have hats that I started passing the cowboy hats out that I had. It was fin to see everyone putting them on!

Then surprise to me...I won the contest for that night for my costume! I was shocked - Western is my thing and I was just having fun - totally did NOT expect that!

4th of July in SL

I spent some time in SL on the 4th and took a few snapshots along the way. This was a sample fireworks display you could try and it was very pretty but a little beyond my reach so I just hit the demo button and watched it LOL! Someone else was behind me I see too. There was also a hunt there and I ended up getting some pretty neat things.

Here was the greeting I got when I went to the house that day - I was totally NOT expecting this. It was very festive and loud at the house. I didn't really spend much time there - too busy too much going on for me :)

I met up with Lav for a bit at her Morag land (which she has since sold) and we were sitting on the couch wearing our TOO HUGE hats LOL! Check out Lav's shoes too - I teased her about them as she more often than not isn't wearing any let alone some killer heals!

After a bit I went to the ocean side to watch the orca's jumping. Very peaceful and calming.

All in all a good day in SL!

Black & Blue Dance

I went as some winged creature and had a nice outfit with both black and blue that I was luck to find matching wings to go with. Here I am with a dance attitude on LOL

Betty Boops Orca's

As I have said several times one of y favorite activities in SL is treasure hunting. Well Betty Boop's store has regular hunts both in and out along the boardwalk. They also have a lot of Lucky Chairs so I like to venture that way as one never knows what you might get. Along the boardwalk is some great water wild life like ducks, an Orca that jumps and an Eagle that soars. Here are some shots of them...

Eternal Cove Water Park - is no more :(

When the SIM opened and Lav moved her land here to this island we had a waterpark although it is no longer in operation here are a some photo's of the park.

Beach fire and chairs to lounge in while watching the surf and dolphins. We had Jet-Ski's and water noodles and stuff too.

Lav and I had side by side houses and also a HUGE waterslide - which I LOVE!

Here I am trying to help a friend learn how to use the waterslide.

it is an uber cool twisty slide!

Lav had a cage for fighting in the air and we had couches to chill on while
watching them inside the cage.

and there was sky diving too! What a blast that is. I was not too keen on hitting the landing pad but not by choice rather due to lack of skill LOL I tended to go SPLAT in the sand!

60 & 70's Dance

after the organized dance we headed back to the beach and put our own dance floor up and goofed off for a bit! This is one of my favorite things cause basically you are just chatting away since an animation takes care of keeping your avi moving! LOL

Don't you just love Lav's pelican too - I named him Pete LOL!

Underground Adventure

Lav & I went on an underwater adventure :) We found lots of interesting things on various SIMS here are a few pics for you to enjoy.

Have you ever gone shark riding? He didn't even seem to mind LOL!

This was in an underground wreck so I grabbed a fin and hung on! This was cool in that the sharks were more "aggressive" meaning they came at us while down there so I had to sneak up on it to get a ride.

I hitched a ride on a turtle for a tour of this underwater area. I kinda look like I am falling off the back but it was fun and sooooo pretty!

Trip to the Zoo

So we got working and moving along pretty good! Even set the carpet and a couch and had the windows pretty much done with the tinting and well then the problems began or shall I say they became more noticable LOL. This is the shell of the house that I was using. It is now being revamped some and customized more to our liking. Seemed only appropriate since we messed it up LOL! Thank goodness we were playing with a copy so we can replace as we go whatever pieces parts we need. The goal is to make the house a little more prim friendly while adding some fancy textures and a second doorway. As you can see the doorway now exits right to the water edge LOL! You have to be real careful coming out of the house to not get wet! ROFL! The house is long reaching from the very back line of my property all the way to the water edge. I spose I could turn it the other way however, the whole side to the left there (when facing the house) is my property too so I don't want to cut myself off from it with the back of my house. That end of the beach is going to be for meetings and get togethers maybe throw aout a dance floor or maybe even a volleyball net or something LOL!

The slide is back up now and I have seen a few brave souls using it :) It is so much fun and fun to see who can splash out the farthest when you shoot into the water at the bottom!

So I promised a picture and there you have it BUT it isn't what we will be living in or even wht it looks like now! LOL!

no progress last night

I had RL things to tend to last night so didn't get to pop on to check anything

or add anything or better yet MESS UP anything LOL!

I did get on this AM for a bit and I fixed the one baseboard in the house that had been deleted with the window - linking - colorizing fiasco from the other night. All looks good now.

I also put a fire pit out on the beach with 2 of my cool striped chairs next to it.

I added an orange tree to one of the corners of the house also - come on wake up every AM grab some oranges, fresh juice while sitting on the beach! What could be better!

Yeah I know it isn't everyone's dream but it is mine and thanks to SL I can do that! :0)

I have the pictures marked and will try to get some added on over

the weekend so you can see too what I have been yammering about!

So I found a great builder and I asked her if she would help me with the windows at our house. Ok yes she is a friend already but she is an awesome builder too. I will get Mel's store Slurl and put it in here fo ryou all. AWESOME houses, furniture and all LOW prim stuff too! FANTASTIC! Ok so back to the windows LOL....

Mel had made the condo's I first lived in in SL and I loved the windows there so she wrote a script for me and then proceded to give me a lesson on putting it in and creating a double paned window so that the lined window would show through and then I put the switches up....OH it was sure a learning experience LOL I turned one wall of the house black that wasn't supposed to be cause I selected the wrong thing to edit. She fixed it for me though LOL.

Then I was making the second pane for one window and boy did that turn into a fiasco!

I need to practice my linking and unlinking abilities ROFL!

And BEFORE you make something transparent you really ought to be sure you have it selected if you still have some moving around to do with it! We had to rez another house - take a window out of it and install it into the new house - what a PITA! Mel was great though and walked me through fixing it all. Then it was getting late and I needed to go to bed and she was ready to head out to so she left me with the 2 front windows to double pane and install tint on for today! HA HA I think I can I think I can I think I can.....glad she is just an IM or a TP away!

Lav put a TP in last night to get from one floor to the other BUT the tp takes us down the beach to the slide so she has to finish that later. Of course i love my slide so tp'ing directly to it is ok with me LOL I suppose though it would be hard to manuever around the house though without a top/botom tp.

So yep I took another progress pick but I didn't get it watermarked yet so as soon as I do I will post it up for you all to see.

The note ended on a beautiful note with me walking out of the house and the stars shining away! I normally forget what time it is there as I have it on midday to see what I am doing but last night it took my breath away it was so pretty. Twinkle Twinkle everywhere!

so much fun!

OMGosh last night I had so much fun and got so much done and yet have not a thing to show for it! ROFL! I spent the evening working with Lav to see if we could put scripts in the windows of the house in order to make them tint 3 shades, clear, day and night (black). Well I did pretty well actually I got the window to go from clear to balck but couldn't get the in between. Figured the house was messed up anyway so tried another window. I got it to go from clear to day but couldn't get dark. Need that dark LOL!

Since it was already a mess we played with textures too and had stone floor in one section, pebbles in another and tiles too I think. Changed the wood choices some then poof it was all gone - the mess cleaned up! LOL

We went off to shop for window tint scripts. We went to Paskis ( I think that is correct spelling) and there are some FANTASTIC scripts there! I didn't purchase anything last night but I am pretty sure I am heading back there!

hmmm is it possible to just lose interest in something that I so thoroughly enjoyed not that long ago? No it isn't really a loss of interest it is just different. Things change and change is good right? Sometimes it is anyway. For Kriti there has been lots of change going on.

My little cottage is no more.

The landowner decided that the water park wasn't reaching out to others like she had hoped so it was taken down and the land offered to resident's of her current rental units. I grabbed some up of course and have offered to help her to keep the land going. We will be roomies again since all the land ws snatched up lickity split! I want a place to call home I guess although my RL family thinks it is silly at times. And a room mate won't be so bad - I mean it isn't like we have to listen to each other snore you know and no one get's left with the dishes LOL!

I got a house I like too I bought it off SL Exchange. BUT it is not quite what I want so I need to try modifying it some or perhpas making my own that is similar in design to it. Part of the reason the landowner decided to do this was she doesn't need to be on so much in SL her RL is calling to her and needs attention. So even though we are roomies I think this is something I will undertake so she can tend to the things that need her most right now. In doing the land parcels we also lost some of the tenants in the waterfront condo's so if you are looking for a condo to rent right on the ocean let me know! I know of some

Anyway other changes - Kriti's friends seem to have shifted too. I was very close to one person and it seems like a bit of split has come although not my intention I feel I was the one who put the wedge in that is causing us to drift apart. Preventive measures I guess you might say. RL takes precidence and although I miss talking and sharing and praying with is friend I feel it is best to let the ball be in their court for the amount of contact that is appropriate.

Anyway I have been in SL the same just not blogging but I will try to be a little more informative about my goings on and doings in SL. I will post some land pics and also the additions I make to as I can so you can see things take shape.

Here are some photographs of things you will see while there:

There are many different styles of art available as well as a comfortable seating area where you can hang out with your friends and have discussions. As you can see it is a beautiful open air setting in the sky affording you an awesome view along with outstanding art to explore.

There will be a Grand Opening for the CGM Sky Art Gallery on
Thursday, April 17th, 2008 beginning at 9 AM SL time.
The Gallery will remain open non stop with staff/helpers to answer any questions you might have or just there to talk with through 9 PM SL time on Saturday, April 19th, 2008.

**As always though CGM is open for you to stop by and visit anytime that is convenient for you. There are icons for some of the staff to alert you if they are online but often you will just find someone there who is more than likely happy to chat with you and answer questions.

CGM works to spread the gospel and good news of Christ through Second Life.
The Sky Art Gallery is a way for them to raise funds to allow them to
continue to reach out to fellow Second Lifers.

Lava Flow

You just never know what you will come across when you are traveling around in SL. I believe I was doing the Hoppy Pay HUD stuff when I came across this but I can't exactly recall...

I thought it rather interesting so snapped a quick photo.

The lava appears to just start out of the grass to me from this angle but it was flowing right along and over the side of the mountain...I hurried to the front to see where it was going to

From this view you can't really see the point of origin as well and it appears as though an eruption has taken place and the lava is searching it's way creating a flow over the side and down into the ocean. What great lava rock formations along the path of the current flow and also the smoke at the top as you can see from this view as if it so hot like real lava. Guess what though it didn't hurt a bit when I landed on it and my heels weren't even marked up a bit ROFL!

A fantastical castle to party in I am thinking :) It is very pretty in SL and you need to come to check it out. Just search for Treasure Quest.

Then there are the magical Pirate Ships that sail around the island too....here is a picture of one of them...Don't you just love the falgs on it LOL!

And here is the TQ Headquarters ship! It is loaded with all the information you need to understand how TQ operates, it has picture samples for all those on their first quest as well as those of us who have done a few but need refreshers or tips on how to locate some of those tricky ones. You also get your first clue to start here. It really is quite a Pirate ship!

Sunrise on the Beach with friends

What a glorious sunrise on the beach shared with friends! This is taken at Eternal Life on the beach in front of my friend Lavinia's Rental Condos. They edge the Waterpark there. it is a lovely place and it is quite relaxing to sit and take it all in!

Plant & Walker

This is Plant and Walker on the rocking bench that Walker made. He is quite talented with creating! He has a wonderful pair of shops too where he sells wall art which are photographs and paintings he has done as well as some rugs and other misc. items.

He started this rocking bench with something much like a spring and it evolved into it's own thing LOL Walker said he had to follow it's dream.

This is taken inside the building at CGM. A great place to check out and there is also a new art gallery there you can see! Plant is constantly improving on the place and you never know what you might find there! Look up Creations Groans Ministries and then hop over to check the place out!

WATER SLIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was out wandering around and ran across this water slide at a place called Daz. I just had to try it out. LOL I guess heels and jeans aren't the appropriate attire but it was fun none the less! So this got me to thinking that since I basically live at a sports park on the beach we need a slide to. Thus began the hunt and trying out of water slides. I started alone but soon dragged the land owner into it also he he :)

This was one we tried out and BOY was it scary! Straight down - it is so high you can't even see the land below. Lav called it GINORMOUS and she was right! It was obviously too large for our land but was fun to ride :0)

Off to do more looking we went. Well it got late and we gave up for the night. I tried looking more the next day and found a great spiral that wasn't too big on prim counts too. I waited all day to get ahold of Lav to tell her - ok well not ALL day but you know I was excited for her to come online so I could have her check it out. Well the place I found it at in the AM and rode it and splashed in the water was totally different that evening when I finally was able to show Lav. We more or less went down it then skidded on dry land LOL! There was no water on it so it was more like the slide at the sandbox...we weren't too sure...

Well I went to SLExchange and was looking after IM'ing the maker of that one and it was there and it was reasonable and LOW prim count so we went for it!

Here it is setting on the Sports Park beach....

see the cottages in the back - one of them is mine! I will share more pictures of it another post.
Anyway the slide is great and we have had many riders already! I am glad we went for it and am thankful for a great land owner who likes to do improvement and make more fun things to do there! She is wonderful! If you are looking for a place to rent IM me as she has rentals as do some other residents nearby.

Course I had to try the slide out ...
don't recall why I stood up half way through but here I am on the slide!

was the other day I grabbed 2 quick shots there to share with you all before heading off to the beach to talk to a friend and watch the sunrise. I can not figure the time out there my friends LOL! Sun rise one way sets the other alright but when it is night here the sun is coming up but sometimes in the middle of the day it seems like night LOL! idk I think I am confused!

Treasure Quest

Well I keep meaning to write about this group - it is a lot of fun - sorta like Amazing Race - you have to hunt for things and follow clues - sorta not like Amazing Race so you don't have to do challenges to get the next clue LOL!

Here are some random pics I took while on a past hunt so you can get an idea of how tricky but fun they can be!

This was a pretty easy one actually LOL ... once you found the right garden to look in.

The next few pictures are just different ends to the Treasure Quest as well as a pretty Fairy Spot along the way on one hunt and of course the Easter Bunny - he was too cute to not take a picture of!

Church in the Sky

Here is a picture of the inside of the Church in the Sky. You can see how the church is a set of 4 "pews" with several seats on each one both with sit and pray pose balls. The "pews" face each other making a square. One can sit and still look around at the others in attendance and it is a much like a group setting then where the interaction is easier than if everyone was facing frontwards and staring at someone's back LOL! There is usually a half dozen or more of us there - if you would like to attend please IM me and I can get you the info. Everyone is welcome!

Isn't it cool how we are just suspended in space here and the clouds envelop us in a sphere of the world!

Amazing the creativity that abounds in SL!

EC Wings!

Last night at EC there was a competition for the best wings :) There was some fun music, a great crowd and wings of all kinds of things and even some things you couldn't imagine LOL! I had such a problem with lag that I wasn't able to zoom around with my camera and get a lot of shots :( I also didn't find the winner of the male side at the end so you'll have to check the FlickR group for that info.

Anyway this is me dancing away on one of the camp pads at the dance.

And then a couple shots of the floor kinda looking down on it. As you can see lag was an issue and there are some of the people there ended up looking "ruthed" kinda stunk cause I couldn't see what everyone's wings looked like. Makes it hard to vote!

Again just some more misc shots of the dance floor. You can see the large white wings that seemed to glow and took up a lot of space LOL it was hard to maneuver through them to find the voting boards! In the bottom left corner area is VictoriaRose you can see her wings pretty clearly here. apparently they were talking on the dance floor also at some time during the evening. Not quite sure what they said but it was odd to "hear" wings talk!

This is Sojo's wings from the back. I thought they were just beautiful, feathery looking and I loved the green & blue's touched with a bit of gold on the edges :)

I didn't get a chance to ask her where they came from so I will have to try to catch her another time and hopefully remember!

This is a close up of my lace wings and I also had lace on my white top. I thought the wings were darling and how cool that I had picked up a treasure of a box of wings on one of my hunts of late. I tell you more about that in a future post. I love TREASURE HUNTING! You can get all kinds of cool things and unique too as you will see in a post I have coming. Some things you keep some you don't and some just give a good laugh for a bit LOL!

Then here is the winner of the ladies board...You can now see the front view of VictoriaRose's wings. They really were quite nice!

Dancing at the County Fair

Well I don't know if it was the county fair but Plant was watching fireworks and invited me to come but by the time I got there it was over :( I noticed he was wearing a cowboy hat and commented on it so he showed me that over the fence was one I could have also. So I picked one up and tried it on :) What do you think? Do I look pretty good? Notice mine is white and Plant's was black - so who is the good one? LOL!

We decided to check out the dance moves while we were there - it was nice to decompress and the music was decent too!

See hi hat is black! LOL!

Yeah Plant was goofing around and gave me a straw hat - me thinking it was like a country bumpkin straw hat put it on - well NOPE ...me thinks this is more an Oriental style

Rez Cave

This is one of the places I was with Brenda the other day . It is a little cave with water and some sitting spots around it. You can wade in relax in it or sit on the ledge among other things. It was very peaceful! I loved how blue the water was also! It is amazing how many different things people have built in SL. I never cease to be amazed!

Here Brenda is floating in the water and I am standing there too - I even tried out the splashing ability! WooHoo how fun is that!

Here I am taking a seat on some of the rocks in the water ... hmmm maybe ought to think about a bathing suit next time ROFL!

It was another fun place to explore and definitely something I want to get for myself so I can go and look around more!

Tubing :)

Well I mentioned tubing the with my last post but forgot to post the tubing stuff first so we are stepping back a little here LOL!

I jumped in my tube at the beach area of the land I live on. I headed out to go round the edge of the sim and check things out see what people had added and done since we are a fairly new sim and there is still lots of building going on. Sad to say I get distracted easy so did not get a lot of pics of new builds and such....I will make that a goal for another day :)

So here I am sitting in the tube and I end up washing ashore as I am hit by the waves LOL! I guess I wasn't paddling fast enough with my hands to not get caught in the surf. all the pics I tried to take of the HUGE waves weren't good so again that will be another day's goals. I did enjoy leisurely floating along though. Just past this (to the left of the pic) the person who owns this land had built it out so far that you can't get around it in the water so since I was enjoying the tubing I turned around and headed back that other direction.

and this is what I saw!

A SUBMARINE?!?!?! Say what? I totally was not expecting this. It is very nice but I don't know who owns it. Every time I have been buy the house no one is home so I have yet to scope it out some more. I was once in RL on a submarine and loved it and my RL brother was a Navy man so he spent many months on a sub! If you look close you can see I was just outside the edge of the sim you can see the line in the water there. It was funny cause you edge over it and then suddenly you are whipped right back onto it - a few moments of NO CONTROL over the tube!

Spun me around sometimes too...yeah once it happened I had to try it again LOL! so this was just as I saw the sub and the next photo is as I am right next to the sub.

I had a fun day that day and it ended with meeting Brenda as I said in the other post!

Brenda's Magic Blanket!

so I was tubing the other day and came across a bend in the edge of the water and land and there was a lady standing there. She came over to introduce herself and chat a bit. her name is Brenda. She was admiring my inner tube (which I gave her one too LOL) and then invited me to come see her blanket. A Magic blanket! She called it a Rez Blanket I believe. Anyway here it is:

We were already on our travels before I took the picture but I thought it would be easier to blog if I took one of the blanket LOL. This was outside the oriental place that the Magic blanket took us to. It was very pretty.

Then we went to another place and another ...I cant recall the order where we went when so I am just sharing the pics and telling you a little about them. I want to go spend more time with Brenda and explore these places! Here is an Autumn place - my favorite season with all the pretty colors and falling leaves!

Then there is the this place with water pools and a mountain to the other side. It was very pretty!

And then we ended our little trip with a Slumber Party place and Brenda was trying to teach me to use the pillow for a pillow fight - I was a total clutz and she kept knocking me but I couldn't get her LOL - I need to practice there some more!

Anyway it was a lovely time and I thanked her for sharing the magic blanket trip with me LOL!

I have attended a bible study group on Tuesday's in SL and enjoy it very much. I have missed some weeks due to things going on in RL at times but the leader has given me notes to catch up with and last night we concluded our talk about How to get Rich. No not with money necessarily but Rich with God anyway here is a photo he shared with us last night that really caught my eye and I wanted to share it here also. If you click on it I think you will get a larger picture so you can read and actually see it better. This is actually from another blog from Pastor Mark Brown who has a great sound clip if you care to go and give a listen. I was very touched by some things that happened in ther study last night and am glad I have found this group.

We closed with a good comment and I think it is one we all should be striving to do:
"take advantage of your time here on earth to lay up your treasures for your true life in heaven with Jesus.

What can you do to lay up treasures for heaven?

I am going to start by living more simply.

After the study I went back to my home island and there was a circle prayer meeting in progress so I took a seat on one of the cushions and listened in to the prayers while praying also at home. This is a weekly prayer circle and I usually miss it cause of timing but I made point to be there last night and it was good to hear all the love pouring out of everyone and the praise being directed towards God! if you wish to join us make a stop at Eternal Creations and I am sure someone can direct you or look me up and I can find the landmark and time for you also.

This is a unique vanity I encountered somewhere. You sit on the stool and it has a list then of things you can do :) Here I am trying out the blow a kiss and the other picture is...well I don't remember but I only caught the tale end of it LOL I had to hit the button for my choice then hurry to the camera button he he - gotta work on that!

I am thinking this is maybe the end of Surprise animation? I didn't opt to keep the vanity for my back room - I am not to into the whole make-up thing so I probably wouldn't play with it to much and want to use the prims for something else.

Now this is me relaxing in one of the shopping places we found I rather liked the gazebo type place but it was too expensive and I didn't think fit the beachy atmosphere that my condo is like LOL!

They had a fire pit and some logs and pillows around at the shopping area too and I took a minute to catch a snooze on one of the cushy pillows! I think I need to find one of these in rl!

So that catches you back up on the adventures of late!

Pictures of the Ministry building

so I tempted you with a quick shot of the outside of Plant's place and thought you might like to see some of the inside. I will continue to get pics along the way as he changes and adds things.

here is a new shot of it he has changed some things outside and made it look a little more...hmmm what is the word? Well anyway he has doors now LOL!

Inside it looks like this.......

several sitting places and some plants inside and a beautiful cross on the wall. There are some music things on the back wall I will get a picture of next time I am there. Behind me is a desk and also some windows that look directly out onto the water. It is very pretty. the Ministry is settled back into the corner of the property and looks quite nice.

Upstairs is a small sitting area and there is a wonderful Grand Piano there. Hmmm I wonder what movers carried that up the narrow stairs LOL! There are some sitting chairs also for lounging and listening in. It is very pretty to look out of the loft.

Here are the flags that are being sold to raise money to use to put back into the Ministry to allow them to do more in sl and create a presence to use for meetings and evangelism opportunities.

Lag stinks!

you can sing it to the tune of Love Stinks! As both did for me yesterday. My RL and my SL were both dissapointing yesterday.

I got on for a little bit put me red dress on went to the club and no one was there. Figured I wold dance (camp) for bit see who showed up. Stepped on the pad and no animation...I just stood there...ho hum this is a whole lot of NOT fun. Went back tot he condo and the lag was so bad I couldn't get myself through the dang door! take a step nothing so hit the button agan nothing then what I am into the wall! Or the window! I finally tp'd out to somewhere and then used my home tp before shutting off so at least the next time I log in I will be safe at home LOL!

missed out on the dancing and fireworks on the beach and talking with my friends last night...hopefully I will get to be on some this weeekend.

Plant's new place!

My friend Plant had some land that was given to him to use for his ministry and he has been working on it to build a nice office area as well as display for the flag business he has! Great flags by the way - you really ought to look him up to get one. If you need more info contact me and I can put you in touch with him. I don't have a slurl or a landmark or whatever to give for it right now sorry - still learning that part. :) This is a view from the front.

so you wanna see some of the decorating?

ok then I will show you some :)

Here you see Manda, Xena and I talking about the decorating scheme. I decided to go with this great orange rug that fades to dark at the edges so it will match nicely with my fish tank base. I really like the fish tank but I have learned a teensy tiny bit about prims and I see it is kinda high so I may have to downsize or eliminate it if I find much to do with the back room. :( Too bad but for now I am going to enjoy it! Anyway you see I tossed a couch out and a table and a rug and then Manda tossed out this great rattan looking chair and changed it to orange/brown to match the rug! It is lovely and OH SO COMFY to sit in! Just ask Xena :) She tried it out! LOL!

so then we had to move the things into placec that I decided on so here you see from the back looking out (notice my awesome panoramic view of the water)! Lavinia was there also - that is her next to me and we were talking, I think; about the planters that Manda made up front by the window. They hold mums in both orange and yellow. Turned out really nice and they glow at night too - the planters silly NOT the flowers!

We had a nice time visiting and other people came by too and we just hung out. The view is good from any of the seats and I love that I can just sit and stare :) Maybe some day a whale or dolphins or something will go by or maybe some birds! ahhhhhhhhhhhh pleasant daydreaming area! I really love how it turned out!

oh yeah and I think I still need to find a lamp for the evenings seems it is dark when I get there all the time ...

Well if I didn't mention it before Kriti has been sick this week (well the RL Kriti) so she hasn't been able to play much in SL.

BUT......................... the other night I was able to pop on for a bit and.....................

I did some decorating in my condo with the help of my friend Manda the other night. I have pics but need to crop them to put in so you'll just have to wait till I can get to them..he he

Anyway I have the loveliest orange rug and a fishtank with a dark (cherry?) base that I really liked so that is what I made my decor to suit LOL! I have the most awesome chair that Manda made for me...wait 2 chairs! just wait till you see! and then I said I wanted to put some flowers along my front window and *poof* Manda made some wonderful pots for them! Meanwhile I was manuevering things around and sent my end table off into SL outer space somewhere...I had no clue where it went, one minute it was there and then it went flying out the back through the wall! I went around back to look but I sure didn't see it anywhere (*next day it was returned to my lost and found folder LOL so who knows where it was hanging out!)

Some of my friends (Lav, Leester, a new friend Xena) came over to check out what Manda and I were up to and then we were discussing the lighting or rather lack of it LOL so Manda made the pots glow and I will be searching for that perfect lamp to add to it :)

We then played outside with our Tiki stuff on the beach and danced and carried of for a bit before everyone took off to other places either in SL or RL.

It was a fun night and I am glad I popped in for abit - it really was a boost to my spirits. Being sick stinks!

First glimpse of the inside

of my condo!

I am facing towards the back of it and you can see I set up my fish tank along my back wall and also you can see the waterfall I have inside...that is great!

I know it looks like I have no edge to it right? Well those are my cool glassthat I can tint or un-tint. I wanted it light so you could see in so they are un-tinted now. I have a great looking house out the back side...can't wait to meet the neighbors there LOL! I have a small deck you can see to the right of the picture where the floor changes of course is my glass. The front of the condo is round as is the deck...remember the picture a few days ago of the whole outside of the unit...I am so happy with it!

I was trying out some rugs in it last night and will be trying some furniture tonight if I can find some time to play SL in my RL. I am thinking I want a semi circle couch and face it towards the front over looking the water so it will be like a little bubble ...he he! We'll see I am not sure what I have in my inventory and I don't think I will have a lot of shopping time till the weekend. I may end up with something totally different - who knows!

You'll have to look me up and see if I will show you ...or just keep reading here you know it will end up here eventually!

For the second contest it was Isabel Hocken (female) and Leester Carver (male). I am not sure if Leester wore the same costume as the first party or not but whatever he was I am sure he was having fun! I don't know what Isabel was, in fact I don't think we are acquainted in SL yet... WooHoo another friend to make yet!

Snapshots of the second dance

Here is my buddy Plant at the second dance and he took the photo's I am sharing with you all here. He loves rock music and the music at the early party was great. Tonight with his Tye Dye he wore rock t-shirt underneath! Should of had your guitar on Plant!

Here he is cutting a rug on the dance floor at Club Eternal yesterday.... is that a pig in there too - wonder who that was? I think I might of seen a lamb on the edge of one pic too before I cropped it and sharpened it. Think they had some fun costumes there! I will update the winner's info if I can find out later today from someone :)

Oh there you can see Manda's nose peeking into the left side of the screen LOL! She is going to get Plant! See his awesome tye dye outfit! He made that too!

Great multi color smoke they used for this one! Looks like others were doing the tye dye thing maybe too there in the background!

More of the dancers at Club Eternal's second dance of the night. ACTUALLY they never really stopped but this was the second voting event of the night for the best Male and Female costume!

I hula'd my way to $L1000!

Yep see me there on the left side in my hula skirt LOL! It was a costume contest and I was the lucky winner for the early dance with my hula costume! BIG THANKS to Shuffield for hosting this dance and yeah me for the win LOL!

My friend Plant is in front of me in his British Flag costume that he made. He is a crafty clothes maker...I will put a pic up later of another one he made that is tye dye it is pretty awesome too!

Here are some more of the dancer from the first dance and then I will do a post of pics that Plant sent me from the second dance also. I wasn't able to make it back for that one so I don't have a lot of info about it yet as to who won or anything...sorry!

Here is Brigg Devon at the dance , he was a great smile and eyes!

Yanish won $L1000 on the Male board for his fabulous costume :) Don't you love that grin! He was a wild dancer too really stepping it up in those bright red high top tennis shoes!

This is a picture of Leester, he is in the air there. He was a prep school boy LOL! He also made a killing on the balloon game zapping them before they even got out of the box I think as he had so many! He is talented at that game for sure!

This is just a snapshot of Plant and I in front of Club Eternal after the dance. We were headed shopping to see about more costumes for later but weren't having much luck finding anything. I didn't get the picture of Manda that I took so I will have to ask her to don her costume again and get another. She was a "terrifying" monster LOL!

It was a great day at Club Eternal and fun was had by all!

Demons?

Tonight while unpacking in the sandbox Sonic sent out a cry for prayer warriors...there were demons he said. Honestly I hadn't a clue what he meant. I went anyway as I figured I can pray I didn't have to really know what was going on. Well it didn't take long to figure out what he meant was that some people had come who were calling themselves Demons and they were challenging and wanting to debate Christianity. Many were there trying to share the love of God with them and also praying that their hearts would be opened to hear the message and see that He is the one true Light in this Dark World. Much back and forth and if God was this or that and well Satan is this and so on it soon became heated and there was some things said and done that caused Sonic to ask them to leave. It is his Sims and he has that right. Well lo and behold the one Demon did leave but there were some who choose to stay and then started playing with "toys" that caged people and knocked them into the water and so on. Anyway point being even in SL there are challenges to be a witness for the Lord and seeing a whole group rally together tonight was a blessing to me - I am NOT alone and whenever I feel the need to lift myself up I can simply enter my SL and surround myself with other Christians, praising the Lord and feeling his blessing all around me. My hope is that those who were there heard the message and even though they did not leave on the best of terms I know there are people out there praying still for them. Perhaps tonight we were only able to plant the seed, now we need to keep praying that it will grow and flourish in them and they will repent and allow Jesus to fill them with his love!

Condo's and Goofing Off

I haven't moved in yet just waiting for the go ahead but I have sure been looking forward to it! I think I will be the middle apartment of the ones directly behind me although as you see there is an identical set to the side of me also so something could change I suppose but for right now it is the center one behind me :) I have to work on my door opening and closing and quit running into the wall LOL - I will be forever having a black eye if I don't get the hang of doorways pretty soon! Today I unpacked a LOT of boxes and I found some really cool furniture that I can't wait to try out in the front room also.

So as I was unpacking my boxes from my inventory I found some really strange things, some very useful things and well...some things like this LOL!

Now I can't rightly figure why someone would want to sit in a cup of coffee but apparently someone did as they made it...that is what SL is all about if you want it, can dream it then you can make it here. So as I soaked in my coffee...errrr chocolate yeah that's better CHOCOLATE I thought about...well NOTHING LOL other than how ridiculous I felt sitting there in the middle of a sandbox in a huge cup. I think had I seen a rabbit walk by with a big top hat or something I might of felt a little like Alice in Wonderland!

I didn't keep this particular beauty since I was working on paring down my inventory but if anyone ever asks now I can say I soaked myself in chocolate once upon a time..........

Fishing Prize & Hair!

Well I ended up winning the Bronze Trophy with that fish I caught the other night :) Better than nothing LOL!

Hair - why is hair important? Well I don't want to be bald LOL! Bald is pretty great on a man and ok on some women even too but me well no I don't want to be bald. I met a new friend Mel who was showing off her new do and she mentioned that there was a great place with Lucky Chairs that gave away hair...I told her to keep me in mind for some if the opportunity ever presented itself. Well lo and behold the letter K came up on the lucky chair not to long after - she tp'd me there to get it and here you can see I WON!!!!! LOL

How fun is that! Too bad in RL you can't just win the perfect new do!

Fishing

I sat on the pier last night and fished a little before signing off...won't know until later tonight if I caught a winner or not?!?!?! It was a 28lb fish though and was marked as the Silver trophy when I went to be finally. The Gold last night was a real WHOPPER! 44 lbs it said ...whomever got that must of had a heck of a time reeling it in! LOL

They were working on the housing situation some yesterday too and it appears we are leaning towards a condo type arrangement. Nice open windows and airy looking - great for the beach but yet the back room is private for changing of clothes and so on. My landlord was talking about some water sculpture or something too for each unit, I think it will be turning out wonderfully!

Camping, Dancing & Chatting

So last night I did 3 fun things ....

First I was camping on the new beach at EC which is wonderful! I love the music there!

My friend Plant came and camped for awhile too - he took this picture. Yeah it was dark and we were watching the sun set or maybe it was sun rise - I can't figure that out yet I never know if it is day or night LOL!

Later I spent some time dancing at the club which is fun especially when there are a lot of people! I even had a funky retro outfit on last night :) This is a great place to meet people and share what God has been doing in your life or hear about what he is doing in theirs. You can also just let loose and have fun, play some games and try a new jog or too! he he

I ended the evening while chatting with my friend Sher at her house. She got a great new seashell table today, it sits and looks out right over the water! While we were chatting she taught me how to right side up my chocolate cake that kept coming out on the side...now I can serve a mean slice of birthday cake ROFL! We also saw a horse or a Pegasus I am not quite sure go racing by behind us. I think it was one of the neighbors out having a good time. We had a nice chat and when the little "region will restart" notice came along we decided we should just call it a night...

Oh yeah and I think I won the fishing tournament again yesterday but my computer crashed right as the notices were popping up and I don't know how to find out now. I don't know how to find out where the $L come from like is there a record of who gave you what or anything - kinda like a statement I suppose. If you know please share with me so I can properly thank the right people.

living and learning in sl

so as I tp'd around last night and was learning some new things particularly how to build a house LOL - I was practicing in a sandbox .... somewhere ... I found some lovely houses in my inventory but so far nothing that really grabs my fancy. I found an awesome door though! ha ha! Guess I will just need to keep looking. My plans may be changing as far as my land a bit anyway - I have to get with the landlord this weekend and get an update. Meanwhile if you know of a really cute open and airy beach house please leave me the info!

So I got bored of building and then disasembling houses and decided to go for a ride in my pink jeep with my friend Plant. We ended up getting yelled at so I didn't even get a picture of us :( I will have to have him sit in it again one night so we can get a snapshot of it. I told him he must feel like the ULTIMATE Ken doll now since he got to ride around in a pink "Barbie" vehicle! It was funny!

Still seem to be having problems on the new Sim too (tp - land in water, can't stop animations, not being able to rez things, no inventory...) - others are also but not sure if it is us or the rolling restarts or what so we'll keep trying things this weekend and hopefully the issues are worked out.

I am the FISHING Queen too ... funny in RL I like to sit and watch but you won't catch me touching no bait! In sl though I have no problems and I am catching some whoppers! 44lbs! that is no lie! Course then I follow it up with a 2 lb'er so you win some and you lose some!

My Second Life

In a short time I have become totally addicted to SL.

Ok well not totally but I really like it there :)

I will be moving into my own place. I will be a renter but I am so excited! I met some wonderful friends online and we are actually moving to our own private SIM! How cool is that!

SL has given me a new avenue for chatting and learning new things. While there are some not so cool things there I can simply tp away without any worries if I find myself among them! Too bad in RL you can't do that!

tp - teleporting is way cool too - imagine here one minute gone the next..here now.....gone again! I can go anywhere in a woooshhhhhhhhhhh!

Oh and I can FLY! What a neat experience to see the world from above...like looking down from the plane window whenever I want! No air fare either LOL!

Since SL is a world of it's own you do need money...errrrrr should I say Linden's to buy things or pay for things there. So I found camping. Camping is fun for me when it is dancing cause i love to dance but don't get out to do so very often. Sometimes camping is laying out on the beach either on a funky bright colored towel or on a lounger. Course there are camping chairs and benches and playing drums and guitars as well as other things I am sure throughout SL. You won't get rich camping but you might as well earn while you get to know people who are also camping near you. I suppose I could get a JOB in SL but you know what I have one of those in RL and I am not so sure I want to spend my days and nights working away with no time to play! There are other ways to earn money in SL too and contests you can enter and games you can play and money trees, in fact here is one place that has a potential chance for winning some $L

No matter how you look at it - my experience so far with SL has been a positive one and I look forward to popping in to see what is new and say hi to my friends.

Maybe we will meet someday in SL....meanwhile enjoy the day!
